Stress Test

During this test, an echocardiogram is done both before and after your heart is stressed either by having you exercise or by injecting a medicine that makes your heart beat faster and harder. A stress echocardiogram is used to diagnose the existence of decreased blood flow such as Coronary Arterial Disease (CAD).

Here at North Jersey Therapy and Diagnostic Center, we offer these tests in a comfortable and safe environment.
The test generally takes 2 hours for the entire test depending on what your doctor wants done.

Please remember these recommendations prior to your test:

1. Do not eat or drink for three hours before your test
2. Wear comfortable clothing that are suitable for exercise
3. An explanation of the test is provided and you will have to sign a consent form.
4. If you have existing conditions such as heart disease or diabetes, you may have to consult with your physician before the test is done
